Great to Meet You!

I started North Sage Integrative Psychiatry with the belief that mental health care should be compassionate, thoughtful, and truly individualized. I approach each patient with curiosity, respect, and the understanding that every person’s story is shaped by unique experiences, biology, environment, and values. My goal is to help you make sense of these pieces and move toward greater clarity, balance, and wellbeing.

My Approach

I combine evidence-based psychiatric treatment with an integrative perspective, taking into consideration not just symptoms, but the full context of your life—your routines, stressors, sleep, relationships, physical health, and the moments that shape how you move through the world.

I strive to offer care that is collaborative, unhurried, and grounded. I believe medications can be helpful tools when used thoughtfully, and I pair them with supportive, evidence-based therapeutic techniques to promote durable, meaningful change.

What You Can Expect When Working With Me

When you come to North Sage, you can expect:

  • Appointments where you feel heard, not rushed

  • A treatment plan guided by your goals and values

  • Clear communication and shared decision-making

  • Conservative, intentional medication management

  • Supportive therapy woven into each visit

  • An emphasis on long-term wellness, not quick fixes

I see myself as a partner in your care—someone who helps you navigate challenges with steadiness, honesty, and clinical expertise.

My Background

I am a board-certified, doctorate-prepared psychiatric nurse practitioner (DNP, PMHNP-BC) with experience treating adults across a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, ADHD, and mental health challenges associated with complex medical or neurological issues. My clinical work integrates psychopharmacology with supportive, evidence-based therapeutic approaches, allowing me to tailor care in a thoughtful, holistic way.

My approach is also informed by long-standing personal and academic interests in contemplative practices. I hold a master’s degree in Buddhist Studies from the University of Washington, where I focused on meditation traditions, philosophy, and the cultivation of insight and compassion. I also completed a two-year teacher training certificate in mindfulness meditation through the Greater Good Science Center, which strengthened my understanding of how contemplative practices can support emotional regulation, resilience, and overall wellbeing. These perspectives influence the way I listen, collaborate, and guide treatment.

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by forests, mountains, and the slower rhythms of that landscape—elements that continue to shape my values and grounding practices. I now live in Northern California with my family and our two dogs. I spend much of my free time outdoors or engaged in activities that help me stay balanced, including backpacking, skiing, weightlifting, reading, and meditation.

My values

01

Thoughtful, Evidence-Based Care

I approach each patient’s treatment with careful attention, clinical rigor, and a commitment to using interventions that are both effective and individualized. My goal is to provide care that is clear, grounded, and aligned with each person’s needs and goals.

02

Collaborative Partnership

Healing happens through connection. I believe in working with patients—listening closely, encouraging open dialogue, and making decisions together. Your expertise in your own life is central to our work, and treatment plans are built with that in mind.

03

Whole-Person Understanding

Mental health is shaped by far more than symptoms alone. I strive to understand each person within the full context of their life—biology, environment, stories, habits, values, and strengths. This integrative perspective helps support long-term wellbeing and meaningful, sustainable growth.
